Lawn Care & Landscaping Services in American Canyon, CA
Eco Scapes cares for lawns, sprinkler and drip systems and landscape lighting in American Canyon. Down here at the bay end of the valley, we plan around the afternoon wind and the slow-draining clay.
No set hours unless the city declares a drought stage.
The city’s conservation page posts no stage in force. All year: no runoff into gutters, drains or onto pavement, and leaks fixed once they should reasonably have been found.

Our part
Water that travels this far is worth keeping in the ground: sealed valves and wiring, spray that lands on the lawn, drip under the beds. For a lawn swap we follow the city’s order: the Notice to Proceed, then the lawn comes out, then drip and mulch, all within the city’s six-month window.
Replacing a lawn? Call before any of it comes out.
What does the bay wind do to an American Canyon lawn?
Calm-morning runs, and spray that stays on the lawn.
Summers here are mild, but afternoons blow hard off San Pablo Bay, drying the lawn and carrying spray onto the sidewalk. Mornings are calm.
So we run spray zones in the morning, put Rain Bird high-efficiency rotary nozzles on lawns where fine spray drifts, and move beds to drip. On the smart controllers we install, run times follow the weather.
On a young system, the trouble is the ground and the install: heavy clay that soaks water in slowly, and installs like the new system we showed on Instagram in August 2026, found with no waterproof wire connections. A system diagnostic tests every zone and flags the valves to replace, and clay gets short cycles with a soak between.

What happens after the first visit?
A plan in order, written down first.
On a yard still running its first system, we start by running every zone. The changes then go in order: the schedule, drip under the beds, and landscape lighting if you want the house lit at night. After that, Lawn care & maintenance puts the lawn, the beds and the irrigation under them on one schedule.

Napa is up the road. Across the county line, Vallejo sells the city water when demand runs high. The rest of the valley is on the Napa County page.

Hours come only with a declared drought stage, and the city’s conservation page posts none. Its Stage 1 asks for evening and early-morning watering. Early morning is also the calm time here, before the bay wind picks up. Checked Sep 2026.
