Our work, photographed on the job

Twenty-six photos from real Eco Scapes jobs: sprinkler valves being wired, drip line going into beds, lawns mowed and edged, new plants set into a front bed from first hole to watering in, and side yards cleared. Our own crew took every one, and each caption says what’s happening in it.

Most of it is work you stop seeing once the job is done: the valves, the wiring, the soil under the mulch.

Irrigation: valves, wiring and drip

We install Rain Bird valves, and here some of them go in: still boxed, set on the manifold, wired up. The rest is the supply riser, the pipe and the tubing that carry water to the beds.

Lawn care: mowing and edging

Stripes, clean edges along fences and paths, and a crew in company vests. Three of these are frames from one timelapse of one backyard, in the order they happened.

Planting and mulch: one bed, start to finish

Five frames from one timelapse of one front-yard bed, in the order they happened: holes dug, plants set, watered in, done.

  1. Crew member in a straw hat and hi-vis vest digging planting holes with a shovel in a mulched front-yard bed, potted flowers waiting nearby
Dig: Planting holes, the pots waiting.
  2. Crew member crouching to set new flowering plants into a mulched front-yard bed beside a driveway
Set: The first plants go in.
  3. Crew member kneeling in a mulched bed to set a new plant into a freshly dug hole
Plant: One more into a fresh hole.
  4. Crew member in a straw hat watering in newly set plants with a hose in a mulched front-yard bed beside a driveway
Water in: Every new plant soaked.
  5. Finished front-yard bed with new plants set into dark mulch beside a driveway
Done: New plants set in dark mulch.
Five frames from one short timelapse, each placed where it falls in the clip.

Three more frames from another front yard, graded and edged around a young tree. The clip ends before planting, so that yard has no finished shot yet. The last frame is mulch going into a different bed.

Cleanup and pruning

For many clients this is the first job: a yard cleared and cut back, before they keep the same crew for regular care.

About these photos

  • Not confirmed yet.

A town on a photo is a claim, and we haven't matched every photo to its job yet. Once the homeowner OKs it, the town goes on the caption.

  • Only for privacy.

They're cropped, house numbers are blurred, and the files carry no location data. Nothing is retouched, recolored or enlarged. Some are frames taken from phone video of the crew at work, which is why a few look softer than the rest.

  • No true pairs yet.

A fair before-and-after needs the same yard, the same spot and the same angle, and we don't have those pairs yet. We won't put two different yards side by side and call it one job. The planting bed above is the closest: one bed, five frames, in order.
