Eco Scapes mows, edges and feeds lawns across Solano and Napa County, weekly or every two weeks, with the same crew. Every cut takes a third of the blade or less, at a height set for the season, and the sprinklers are checked before we leave.

How short should a lawn be cut?
Never more than a third of the blade at once.
Every grass has its own healthy height, and the rule behind every cut is the same: take no more than a third of the blade. Take more and the roots stop growing. Do it week after week and weeds, disease and drought move in.
In summer we cut higher to carry the lawn through the heat: a tall fescue lawn goes up to 3 inches and back to 2½ when it cools. Carlos sets your heights once he sees the grass. The whole season, month by month, is on the lawn care & maintenance page.

Cut clean along drives, walks and beds, so grass doesn’t creep over the concrete or into the mulch. The cuttings leave with the clippings, and every hard surface is blown clear before the crew goes. Beds that need more get mulch installation.
Timed to the cool-season lawn calendar: March, May, September and October, little through summer heat. Granules that land on the drive go back on the lawn, not down the storm drain.

The lawn zones are run and walked. A head knocked sideways or sunk below the grass waters the walk, not the lawn, and gets a system diagnostic. Low spots get noted too, since that’s where mower wheels drop and scalp the grass, and aeration & overseeding builds them up. Start times are checked against your water provider’s hours. Anything that needs your decision comes by text first.

Tall fescue, the most common lawn grass in California, is a cool-season grass, fed in March, May, September and October, with little through the summer heat. Bermudagrass is fed in May, June, September and October.
